Spartan Races 2014 – Giveaway!

In the coming season I decided to try a bit different kind of race: http://spartanracemedia.com/

I raced some very gnarly trails all over the US, but this is a whole new level of “technical”.

Check out these crazy obstacle races:

I’m definitely giving it a try.

Fine folks at the Spartan Race shared with me some GOODIES to pass to you:

- First, for everyone there is a URL that will generate a code for 15% off any Spartan Race – http://bit.ly/spartanwarrior

- Second, I’m giving away a free entry for any open heat (non-confirmed start time) in any 2014 Spartan Race in the continental US. Before April 25th, shoot me an email at fruktoed.com(at)gmail(dot)com with “Spartan giveaway” in the subject line and telling me in the email which race would you like to do. I’ll randomly select one lucky winner.

AROO!!

  1. I have run dozens and dozens of Spartan Races, Tough Mudder, Warrior Dash, and other OCR (obstacle course races) over the past 2 years all over the United States. I have to say they are the most challenging you will ever do with the distances of each race. I have their “Trifecta” medal which means I ran each of their 3 races distances in a calendar year. That would be the Sprint (3-5 miles), Super (8-9 miles), and Beast (12-15 miles). Of course I have ran more races, but you have to complete at least one of each to earn the special Trifecta medal. If you want a challenge than you’ve found it in OCR. Training for it is so much more fun too rather than just running on the road over and over. I haven’t run on a road in such a long time. I always head to the trails and find the biggest hill, or set of hills, I can find then run it over and over. I even built several of the obstacles you find in Spartan Race and other OCR events in my Synergy Kettlebell Training gyms in Illinois. I have 8 foot climbing walls, rope climbs, big tractor tires for flipping and sledgehammer slams, a Hercules Hoist, and more. If you have any questions about OCR let me know.
